Qinhuangdao
co-host city for 2008 Olympic football preliminaries
 
Qinhuangdao is a city located at the eastern part of Hebei Province, northern China. It is only 280km and 220km away from Beijing and Tianjin respectively, on the Bohai Sea, the gulf of the Yellow Sea. It is the chief port of Hebei Province. The Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium will be used as an Olympic Competition Venue (Football Preliminaries) during the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Qinhuangdao is a coastal city known for its nice and ice-free port, the eastern end of the Great Wall at Shanhaiguan Pass, which is dubbed as the First Pass under Heaven, Beidaihe, Nandaihe, Gold Coast and the vast sea, the gold beach and the dense forest. Qinhuangdao lies between mountains and the sea, enjoying a pleasant climate without cold winters or hot summers.
